- Explore the "Rules of the Game": scripts, scores, protocoles and task-based performances.
- Choreograph a "soundscape" that will incorporate a variety of spoken words, vocalizations, sound effects, and performative elements, woven together to create a cohesive and immersive narrative journey.
about
In this Masterclass, participants will engage in the creation of scores in various forms, including written, narrated, and drawn formats. These scores will serve as choreographic tools, offering instructions for actions and movements that guide participants in their research within structured improvisation and their own creative processes.
Throughout the process, participants will explore how scores can inform and inspire their movement exploration, allowing them to develop their unique choreographic language and artistic expression. They will experiment with different ways of crafting scores, discovering how each format influences their creative approach and the outcomes of their work.
At the culmination of the module, participants will collaborate to build a "soundscape" – an immersive sound installation composed of tasks, instructions, and oral scores. This collective creation will showcase the diverse range of scores developed throughout the Masterclass, offering a multi-dimensional exploration of movement, sound, and artistic collaboration.
